1. What is a NuvoCig?
A NuvoCig is an electronic cigarette. It is a device that was created to simulate the sensation of smoking while drastically cutting back on the harmful side effects caused from smoking, by completely eliminating burning tobacco. Plain and simple, NuvoCig is a healthier alternative to smoking. You can use it in conjunction with traditional cigarettes in areas that are under smoking bans, or where you don’t want to expose others to second hand smoke. Or if you choose, it can be used as a complete replacement for your cigarettes.
1. Who is Nuvo for?
Nuvo is intended for smokers 18 years of age or older, as an alternative to traditional cigarettes. Sales to minors are prohibited. As with any product containing nicotine, it should not be used by pregnant or nursing women. If you have any current medical issues please consult your doctor before use.
2. How does a NuvoCig work?
Nuvo uses a small rechargeable battery, a miniature vaporizer and a disposable cartomizer. The vaporizer is activated when you inhale, which releases water vapor from the liquid cartomizer, simulating the smoke of a traditional cigarette in look, feel, taste and texture.
3. Can I really smoke NuvoCig anywhere?
Most smoking bans are in place to stop two things: open flame and second hand smoke. NuvoCig is not lit, and does not burn tobacco so there is no smoke or flame - only harmless water vapor. It can be smoked in most areas where normal smoking bans are in place, including: bars, restaurants, airports and offices. But to be polite, you should always check with the location before using your NuvoCig.
5. Can Nuvo be used to quit smoking?
Different people use different devices and/or methods to stop smoking. NuvoCig is meant to be an alternative to traditional smoking, not necessarily a smoking cessation device. However, many people have used it to aid in their efforts to stop smoking. We do supply cartomizers with staggered levels of nicotine, including non-nicotine, so that users have the opportunity to remove their nicotine intake completely while satisfying the other habitual desires of smoking. Please keep in mind that NuvoCig has not been laboratory tested to be qualified as a smoking cessation device.
1. Does a NuvoCig produce smoke?
No, Nuvo produces an odorless and harmless water vapor, which simulates smoke but dissipates in several seconds.
2. Does the liquid contain nicotine?
Cartomizers are available with or without nicotine, in varying strengths – so you have the option of whether you want nicotine or not, and if so, how much.
3. What is in the liquid and vapor?
The liquid in the cartomizers are water based, with primary ingredients: flavoring, nicotine, and propylene glycol. Food grade flavoring additives are used to give you an enjoyable flavor, either simulating your favorite cigarette, or giving you a whole new smoking experience. Nuvo cartomizers are manufactured with pharmaceutical grade nicotine, except the NONE strength cartomizers, which (obviously) contains no nicotine. The dosage varies by strength. For example, a HIGH strength cartomizers delivers an amount similar to a regular cigarette. Propylene Glycol (PG) is a common additive in consumable products and pharmaceutical formulations. The FDA includes Propylene Glycol on its list of GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) substances for use as a direct food additive, and it has been used in asthma inhalers since the 1950s. Because PG can be vaporized at significantly lower temperatures than water, the vapor temperature of a NuvoCig is a much safer level for the human body than tobacco smoke.
4. Is it safe?
Tobacco smoke is the biggest health hazard of smoking. It contains tar and carbon monoxide, as well as over 4,000 toxic chemicals – at least 60 of which are known to be cancer-causing agents, and many more that are suspected. Smoking an ecig has none of these because, there is no actual smoke involved. NuvoCigs deliver nicotine by inhaling a vaporized water/nicotine solution, thereby eliminating the harmful contaminants found in tobacco smoke.
A recent study conducted by researchers at Boston University concluded that electronic cigarettes were “much safer” than real cigarettes and may aid in breaking the habit of smoking.
5. Is Nuvo better for me than traditional cigarettes?
A cigarette is essentially a Nicotine Delivery System. It uses tobacco smoke to administer nicotine to the body. A NuvoCig is also a Nicotine Delivery System, however it uses water vapor as the delivery agent. Nuvo does not contain the tar, ash and carcinogens associated with traditional tobacco cigarettes. Nor does it create 4,000+ chemical compounds, during the combustion of tobacco as cigarettes. They simply provide the user with a simulated smoking experience using water vapor and a user specified nicotine dosage.
6. What are the effects of nicotine?
The effects of nicotine are stimulation, a feeling of relaxation, calmness, and alertness. These effects can last from minutes to hours, and nicotine is considered habit forming and addictive. Most researchers have concluded however, that in and of itself, nicotine posed no major harmful health risks from extended use.
7. How much nicotine is in each cartomizers?
There are 5 levels of nicotine strength in Nuvo cartomizers: Super High (36mg of nicotine), High (24mg of nicotine), Medium (18mg), Light (12mg) and Non-Nicotine (0mg). For reference, a High cartomizer gives about the same amount of nicotine as a regular cigarette, and contains almost as much nicotine as found in a regular pack of cigarettes.
8. Why does it feel like I’m not getting as much nicotine as I do from my regular cigarettes?
Regular cigarettes are not just tobacco with natural nicotine. During the manufacturing process, literally hundreds of other ingredients are added. Many of these chemicals are added to help release the nicotine into your brain faster, open your receptors up more to the effects, enhance the effects, and prolong the effects of nicotine. It is normal for the first several weeks to feel like you are not getting the same amount of nicotine as you are used to, your body is detoxifying! NuvoCig gives you nicotine in a much more natural manner, without all of the additives. It is only natural that it will take some time for your body to get used to not having all of those other chemicals and additives aiding in the process of nicotine delivery.

Nuvo can be purchased and used by anyone who is 18 years and older, but we recommend it for preexisting smokers, as a healthier alternative.

Nuvo can now be shipped almost anywhere you are! If you order it, we will ship it to you. We are not abreast of every countries import laws for electronic cigarette devices though, and therefore cannot guarantee the customs officials from your country will allow entry. So please check the laws regarding electronic cigarettes of your country before purchase.
2. How long does it take to receive my order?
Orders are typically shipped within 24 hours of payment confirmation. Once shipped, orders take approximately 2 – 4 business days, via USPS. So most customers receive their packages within 3 – 5 days from when the order was placed.

1. How big is a NuvoCig?
The NuvoCig device is slightly larger than your regular cigarette, at 4 inches long and 1/4 inch wide.
2. How long does each cartomizer last?
Regular NuvoCig cartomizers last roughly the equivalent of one traditional pack of cigarettes, depending on the smoking habits of the user. The long cartomizers (as found in the USB Kit) are between 1.5 – 2 packs. The cartomizer found in the Nuvo Silver edition lasts over 2 packs of cigarettes!
3. What flavors are available?
Nuvo has a long list of excellent flavors for your smoking pleasure, including many flavors similar to your favorite cigarette brands, as well as a long list of other fun flavors more similar to hookah or shisha flavors. For a current complete list, look in our Cartomizers section.
4. How do I know when the battery needs recharging?
When you take a pull, your Nuvo battery will blink several times indicating it needs to be recharged, and there will be no vapor. Please note your battery will also blink when it is being overused (taking too many pulls in rapid succession) as a warning. If this happens, you should stop use for several minutes and allow the unit to cool down to prolong the life of the vaporizer.
5. How long does each battery last between charges?
Nuvo batteries use the latest lithium ion technology and on average will last as long as it takes a user to smoke several traditional packs of cigarettes. The average “1 pack a day smoker” will probably need to charge the battery every couple of days. But do keep in mind that as the battery's power diminishes, you may notice a reduction in vapor volume. So it is a good idea to keep a spare battery on hand, and to charge your batteries regularly.
6. How long does it take to recharge a battery?
On average a fully discharged battery will take about 1½ hours to fully recharge. You can recharge your batteries via the Nuvo pack, wall charger or USB charger - each available separately.
7. Is the Nuvo Silver battery rechargeable?
Yes, the battery that comes with the Silver kit is also rechargeable.
